The Builders Index is powered by an advanced scoring algorithm that evaluates candidates on how they actually behave, not what party they belong to. It processes thousands of data points from each candidate’s public record, including their social media history, campaign and personal websites, local and national news coverage, and legislative history to identify documented patterns of rhetoric and conduct.

Our algorithm is engineered to ignore party labels and political associations entirely. Only documented actions count. That means a Republican, Democrat, or independent can score high or low.

The Builders Index scans for documented ethics concerns, such as ethics complaints, formal investigations, and lawsuits, so candidates with a track record of questionable conduct don’t get a pass. When voters can see character clearly, they can reward it at the ballot box and help keep corruption out of office.

Each candidate profile surfaces their top three policy priorities, identified by analyzing what they talk about most and, for incumbents, the issues they’ve actually introduced or voted for legislation on.
